Originally from Macon, Georgia, Ginny Lane Sheridan grew up a creative child, surrounded by beautiful art, with plenty of room to explore. She graduated from the University of Georgia in 2019 with a degree in Advertising. A third-generation artist and lifelong creative, Ginny Lane moved to Charleston in 2021 to plant her roots in a nurturing creative community to pursue her art professionally.
In her time in the Lowcountry she’s contributed to the vibrant arts culture as an art teacher, gallery associate, and artist. From the classroom to her own studio, she carries with her inspiration from teaching young children and witnessing their creative minds at play. She personally paints from a cathartic and spiritual place, often allowing her natural preliminary paintings to guide her direction through an intuitive process, leaving no medium off limits.
In between teaching and painting, Ginny Lane enjoys traveling, playing with her dogs, and admiring the beauty of both the art and the nature of Charleston, South Carolina.
