Ginny Lane Sheridan
Born and raised in the heart and soul of Macon, Georgia, Ginny Lane Sheridan has been knocking on creativities door since a young child. Today, her abstract paintings embody a bold, creative spirit of generations of inventive, sharp women before her.  Ginny Lane earned a degree in Advertising and Sociology from the University of Georgia in 2019. With a clear calling to share her gifts as a creative, Ginny Lane began to share her work from her practice of painting during the height of the pandemic, when the world seemed to need it most. Ginny Lane knew she had to pursue her career as an artist in Charleston, where she first saw what it meant to turn her passion for art into a profession one summer working at a shop called Noddy. She moved back to the lowcountry in 2021 to plant roots in the creative community where she paints from her home studio by the marsh in Hampden Park. Alongside painting, Ginny Lane takes every opportunity that comes her way to develop her eye for design, be it in fashion, florals, interiors, or the digital space. She is thrilled to officially launch her brand in Charleston at the end of 2022, Ginny Lane Creative, to encompass all of these elements. As an art teacher at the Blair Center for the Arts and the University School of the Lowcountry, Ginny Lane loves bringing to light the reciprocity of inspiration that exists within the classroom and community at large. Developing her career as an artist alongside the students, she enjoys being a testament to the kids as to what’s possible in their very own community.
